My dog has been eating grass?

my dog has been eating grass and a friend of mine says that it's sometimes a sign of a stomach ache. She's been gnawing on her bone and been coughing harshly when she does gnaw on it. I think she's constipated since her feces is very hard. What can I do to make her feel better?
