I think both of my cats got eaten by a coyote?

So i have a cat name Jethro (or used to) now Jethro was completely beautiful, rare looking cat, really just great. This cat was very friendly and playful. One day in January i noticed he wasn't there. Now this was in the daytime, around 2:00 pm, he didn't come back ever again. My dad thinks a little boy got him because he is so cute. But i think a coyote got him, but in broad day light? Would they do that? Then just last night my other cat Jinksey was gone, dad told me he heard screams, so now i know my absolute favorite cat is gone. Also a couple weeks ago Jethro's twin Great was attacked 5am good think my dad ran outside past our gate into this area, and got my cat, had the coyote by it's neck (intention was to kill it) but my cat bit my dads lip open, then bit it again, then after that was done, the coyote grabbed my dads arm and pretty much just gnawed on it. But he's alright. So my question is, how do i cope with this? I'm a young girl, but i've grown up loving animals and don't want to see my kitties get hurt :(
